5 Summer Beer Events in Michigan!


Summer is arguably the best season for beer lovers in Michigan and our friends over at Detroit and Grand Raid Party Bus sent us over a post to share on a few of the events you must attend!

There's a fantastic line up of beer focused events happening around the state through July and August. Here are five options for you to consider checking out! If you're going with a group of friends or just want to have the best experience possible, consider putting transportation into the hands of the professionals. July 21

1460 Michigan Avene in Detroit

This BBQ Beer Patio Party starts at 3PM, and it's $30 at the door. They will be featuring summer seasonal beers, meads, and saison beers from a few different breweries in the area. There will be a creative tasting menu with options like roasted red potato salad with candied bacon, chili lime chicken and beef kabobs, and chipotle cinnamon corn on the cob. Representatives from the featured breweries will be present if you have any questions about their selections!

July 26

201 Michigan St NW in Grand Rapids

Atwater in Grand Rapids is hosting a delightful five course dinner with beer pairings. The theme of the night is German cuisine and beer. Some of the courses include spaetzle salad, pumpernickel and pretzels, bamberg onion, rouladen, and black forest cake. Tickets range from $45 to $50, and the event lasts from 6:30PM to 9:30PM.

July 27

5559 Mill Road in Coopersville

Want to learn more behind how your favorite beverage is made? You'll love this free event hosted by Samaritas! You will embark on a tour of their hop farm, learn more about processing the hops, and sample beer that was made at the facility. The tour runs from 9AM to 1PM.

August 4

meeting on Fifth Street between O'Toole's and Fifth Avenue

Don't miss out on this craft beer stroll in beautiful downtown Royal Oak! This event runs from noon to 5PM, and tickets range from $40 to $50. Your ticket includes samples of beer and food from each of the participating businesses which include some of the best breweries and restaurants in the area. Some of these participating businesses include Ale Mary's, Gusoline Alley, HopCat, Jolly Pumpkin, Mesa, Ye Olde Saloon, Town Tavern, and Red Fox.

August 18

at the Detroit Princess Riverboat

This is sure to be a fun event! Enjoying a slow cruise down the Detroit River and samples of over thirty different beers and hard ciders is a great way to spend a day. The $62.50 ticket price includes 15 four ounce drink sample tickets, appetizers, and your admission onto the cruise. The cruise starts at noon and ends at around 2:30PM.
