Anything worth having is worth working for.

Almost everyday we hear people tell us that they wished their dog were as well behaved as ours. We have people that start training with us that say they will do ANYTHING for their dog.

I wish this were true, but unfortunately most of the time it’s not.

I like to call it the “honeymoon” stage. People start training with us and see some really cool results within the first few days. They get really excited and do everything we tell them.

After the first week or two the quick fix issues are usually under control and then the results sometimes plateau. This is the end of the “honeymoon” stage.

There are some dog issues that can be fixed in seconds but some issues can take weeks, months and even years of consistency to fix.

When people aren’t seeing huge result right away they tend to give up. This is when we lose consistency and the dogs start to revert back to their bad habits. Our dog looses priority in our lives and nobody wins.

This is the same with anything in life…

We can’t expect to go to the gym one time and have that beach body we have always wanted. You can’t run around the block and be ready for a marathon.

Everything takes work.

Make time for what you really want, and don’t give up until you have it.

Reach for your goals; leave your excuses in the doghouse.

Cheers

Bernie
